Founded in 1969, DANIELI Automation S.p.A. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the DANIELI Group and is responsible within the Group for the transfer of technological know-how from DANIELI’s technological departments to the end user, thus forming the interface between the plant process and the operator.
Our mission is to supply process automation and control systems for the metals industry, covering the broad spectrum of DANIELI technology, ranging from iron ore to long and flat products. Software algorithm models, computerized quality and production control systems are developed in-house and are the means to transfer DANIELI’s process know-how to the end users, thanks to the synergetic relationship with DANIELI and the common technological background with the parent company. This collaboration with the mechanical designers has led to optimized and standardized solutions that result in the best performance and faster commissioning of the systems.
The Motors and Drives department designs and selects the best solutions for motors and the corresponding drives depending on the technical requirements.
We also design and supply complete electrical distribution systems through to turnkey solutions for the steel industry, with installation technology based on extensive experience and the required standards.
We also manufacture special instruments and sensors that have been developed and designed to meet steel producers’ demand for sophisticated controls, quality certification, cost optimization and rapid adaptation to the latest systems.
